Registration number is an Identification number of 15 digits which is
distributed to all eligible applicant. This number is based on state
code and PanCard number. First two digits will be related to state
code and other will be related to you pan card.
GST Registration Process
GST
Portal is very much user friendly but you may need professionals to
fill up the application forms and submit the required documents.
You
need to follow the steps below for GST Registration:

First of all open GST registration official site https://www.gst.gov.in/.

Now login to the portal and fill up form -1 (A) and submit it.

After submitting the form you will be sent a reference number on your mobile / email.

Now you need to fill up the second part and submit the required documents related to your business.

After successful submission Indian Government will provide you the registration certificate.
Required Documents for GST Registration

If you have Sole Proprietorship Firm then you need to submit PanCard and Address proof of Proprietorship.

If you have a Partnership Firm then you need to submit partnership deed with firm PanCard. Partnership registration certificate and partner's ID Proof and address proof.

If you have private limited. You will require to submit Company's PanCard COI, MOA and AOA. BoardResolution and Director's ID Proofs and Address Proofs.

If you have LLP or limited Liability Partnership. You will need to submit COI and company's PanCard, deed and Partner's Address and ID Proofs.
